A search is underway this morning after Florida authorities issued a statewide AMBER Alert for 15-year-old Adriana Hernandez. Adriana was last seen in the 6400 block of Bruce Lane in Milton, Florida, but investigators now suspect the hunt will extend across state lines.
Following fresh findings in an ongoing investigation, local law enforcement escalated the case to an AMBER Alert.
Adriana is described as a white-Hispanic female who stands 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair, although investigators believe her hair has a noticeable reddish-brown tint.
While she was last seen near the Florida Panhandle, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement suggested she may have traveled to Georgia.
No information about a probable car or suspect has been disclosed at this time, but the increase to an AMBER Alert indicates that investigators feel the adolescent is in “imminent danger.”
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the investigation and is appealing for the public’s assistance in bringing her home.
“If you have any information about this child’s whereabouts, please contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-983-1190 or 911,” officials said in an emergency release.
Anyone who believes they have seen Adriana or has any information about her whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
