A lucky man at a Southern California casino won more than $200,000 on a $3 bet, the resort said.
A man solely identified as Shawn F. by the Jamul Casino Resort deposited $3 into Light & Wonder’s Frankenstein slot machine on a one-cent denomination and won a $281,144 jackpot.
Jamul Casino Resort is located on Campo Road in Jamul, eastern San Diego County. The casino launched in 2016; the resort will open in August 2025.
In addition to approximately 1,700 slot machines, the Jamul Casino features over 50 live table games, a poker area, and a variety of food and entertainment options.
Jamul Casino Resort has about 1,500 people and is the nearest casino resort to downtown San Diego.
