A Central Florida man was recently arrested on numerous warrants from various counties.
Kenneth DeShawn Bailey, 47, of Bartow, was recently apprehended by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, but numerous other adjacent counties wanted him as well.
Bailey has Polk County felony warrants for thefts at Rural King in Lakeland and Publix in Lake Wales.
Then, on Wednesday, investigators from the PCSO’s Organized Retail Theft Unit apprehended Bailey as he entered the Winn-Dixie shop on Havendale Boulevard (Auburndale) and stole $107 worth of Gatorade.
Detectives pulled Bailey over and arrested him. Then they discovered roughly $470 worth of steaks that he took from a Publix just a few blocks away.
Kenneth Bailey also has warrants for theft in Manatee, Marion, Hernando, and Hillsborough counties.
Bailey, according to local law enforcement, has a long history of retail theft and has been sentenced to state jail four times.
