Six people are in custody following a narcotics bust on the West Bank.
According to the Louisiana State Police, federal, state, and local law officials executed search warrants, resulting in the seizure of two properties in Algiers, one on General De Gaulle Drive and the other on Erie Street. Authorities said they seized cocaine, fentanyl, and ecstasy tablets, as well as drug distribution equipment.
Gabrielle Miles, 54, is charged with operating a “clandestine lab for producing” pharmaceuticals, though officials have not specified what substances she allegedly created. Miles also faces possession, distribution, and conspiracy charges.
Quinton Gilmore, 45; Sashara Gilmore, 46; and Gregory Scott, 61, face various narcotics possession charges. Dwayne Refuge, 44, faces two counts of conspiracy to distribute.
Terrell Brown, 32, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
All six are in the Orleans Parish Jail.
The Louisiana State Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the New Orleans Police Department, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office all collaborated on this case, which is still under investigation.
