Police officers recently rescued three dogs in Fort Lauderdale and charged a 41-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman with neglect.
According to the arrest reports, Frederick Pinkney and Destiny Bray did not feed or water their three pit bulls, dubbed “Thor,” “Lady,” and “Pleasure.”
An officer noted that “Thor” had superficial wounds, “Lady” was skeletal and wobbly in a cage, and “Pleasure,” a 3-month-old puppy, was malnourished in a filthy kennel.
According to records, police officers detained Bray, 26, and Pinkney, who was out on bond for a traffic matter involving a Jaguar, on Friday.
Bray and Pinkney were each charged with six misdemeanors: three counts of impounding or holding an animal without proper food, water, or care, and three counts of agony, deprivation, and mutilation.
