A teen granddaughter who was visiting The Villages was arrested for shoplifting.
Kylie Elizabeth Blume, 18, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., entered the Target store at Rolling Acres Plaza at 3 p.m. Sunday and was spotted on CCTV putting $142 worth of products into her purse, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She met with family in the store, and they paid for her goods. Blume exited the store without paying for the items in her purse. The stolen items included earrings and a necklace.
During an interview with police, she admitted to the theft.
She was arrested for theft and brought into Lake County Jail. She was released after paying a $500 bond.
