A teenager has been charged with stabbing and critically injuring a woman on Chicago’s West Side on Monday night, police said Tuesday.
Around 8 p.m., police responded to a stabbing in the South Austin neighborhood’s 500 block of South Laramie Avenue.
A 16-year-old boy allegedly stabbed a 31-year-old woman inside her house, according to authorities.
The victim, who had received multiple stab wounds, was transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
Officers put the adolescent suspect into custody. He has been charged with one felony count of aggravated domestic battery.
Area Four detectives are conducting an investigation.
Police did not immediately release any information regarding the stabbing.
