According to police, a suspect, later identified as Louis Loyasa, entered a residence illegally through a basement door and fled when confronted by the homeowner. It was then discovered that the victims were familiar with Loyasa.

When authorities arrived, they discovered the suspect barricaded himself in a lavatory inside his home and denied all attempts to resolve the matter calmly.

Police apprehended him using less lethal methods. Loyasa had minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.

There were no injuries among the cops.
