Police received a call around 9:40 p.m. on Friday about disorderly conduct. Shirinipaziziba then contacted police himself, telling them he had encountered the suspect on Elden Street and shot him, HPD reported.

Officers provided aid to the victim before paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police arrested Shirinipaziziba without incident. Following witness interviews, authorities charged Shirinipaziziba with Second Degree Murder, HPD stated.

The Fairfax County Adult Detention Center currently holds Shirinipaziziba without bond.

Witnesses can contact HPD at 703-435-6846.
