The Houston Police Department and Child Protective Services informed Constable Ryan Gable’s Safe Harbor Detectives on Friday, March 21, 2025, about Steven Ray Hawkins, a 61-year-old man accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of ten in South Montgomery County, Texas.
Montgomery County Precinct 3 Detectives conducted a thorough investigation into the allegations and found enough probable cause to charge Hawkins with Indecency with a Child, a second-degree crime. Although Pct. 3 detectives filed an arrest warrant at the time, they were unable to locate Hawkins. On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Pct. 3 Detectives received word that Hawkins had surrendered and turned himself in to the Houston Police Department.
