During a stop in the Sunderland Neighborhood on August 3rd, Portland police officers arrested two people and recovered a large amount of narcotics, a pistol, and cash, according to a Portland Police Bureau (PPB) release. Officers responded to a complaint of an occupied 2024 Jeep Cherokee without license plates. To ensure everyone’s safety, law enforcement officers used Stop Sticks to deflate the vehicle’s tires and prevent a possible chase.
Despite these measures, the driver attempted to flee, driving the vehicle at an officer before abandoning it on Northeast Faloma Road, unharmed by the confrontation. Police set up a perimeter and detained both criminals with the help of more policemen, a K9, and a UAS operator. According to the police report, Crystal H. Holder, 35, was arrested first, then Justin C. Holder, 42.

The subsequent investigation showed dealer amounts of narcotics previously identified as fentanyl and methamphetamine. Along with the drugs, officials confiscated a semiautomatic pistol, weapon magazines, live ammo, and approximately $10,000 in cash, all of which are susceptible to civil forfeiture.
