Detectives with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, in coordination with the Leesburg, Clermont, Eustis, Mt. Dora, and Groveland Police Departments, have completed a six-month investigation into a drug trafficking network operating in the Leesburg area.
The investigation, which began with a citizen complaint, identified Jartavious Dwyane Coleman, 22, as the primary target. Coleman, who was on probation for cocaine possession, was discovered to be supplying methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and cannabis throughout Lake, Sumter, Marion, and Putnam counties.

Coleman was arrested and faces numerous charges, including conspiracy to traffic in over 200 grams of methamphetamine, trafficking in over 200 grams of methamphetamine, trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in fentanyl, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and multiple related felony counts.
Coleman was not given bond on his initial court appearance due to the gravity of the charges and his probation status. Additional arrest warrants are pending as the investigation progresses.
