Top 10 Things To Do Over Fall Break

Alisha Hawley

UEA starts on Thursday! With Fall Break closing in, do you know what you’re going to spend it doing? With a four-day weekend, it’s a tough call! If you don’t have anything planned, here’s some ideas!

  1. Catch up on sleep! If you’re a highschooler, chances are you don’t get the recommended 10 hours of sleep, but you could definitely make up some of it!
  2. Go out to eat with friends! Or you know, by yourself. Either one.
  3. Finally decide on your Halloween costume! You’re never too old for Halloween! (If you already have decided on one, work on it!)
  4. Go somewhere exciting! Lagoon, Bear Lake (if you’re okay with freezing water), one of the Haunted Houses, or the Corn Maze!
  5. Here’s the boring one: You could catch up on homework. I know, lame, right?
  6. Practice a new skill! Learn how to knit or something, and keep your fingers warm this coming winter!
  7. Read articles on the Ridgeline Hawkeye! Shameless self-plug, I know, but there are  some great articles on here!
  8. Go do something active! Go on a hike, a bike ride, or something like that while you still can!
  9. Have a game night with your friends and/or family! Be it board games, card games, or video games, it’s sure to be a good time.
  10. Curl up on your couch with an optional blanket, and read your favorite book. It’s a great way to unwind after a stressful few days.

When Tayson Swan, a freshman, was asked what he’s doing over the break, he responded, “I’ll be catching up on homework and playing Fortnite.” Cade Smith also said “I’m gonna play Fortnite and chill with friends.”

Aaron Hawley (my little brother) said “Probably camping?? I don’t know where though.”

Whatever you’re doing, have a great Fall Break!
