A Cincinnati man was sentenced to more than a decade in jail for his role in a drug smuggling operation involving bricks of cocaine.
On Friday, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky stated that Kevin Prince Davis, 46, had been sentenced to 180 months, or 15 years, in prison for possessing five kilograms or more of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Davis was apparently a passenger in a vehicle pulled over on I-75 for a traffic violation on an unclear date. During the traffic check, one of the policemen reported smelling marijuana on the passenger side of the vehicle where Davis was sitting, and police located marijuana in Davis’ pocket.
After performing a thorough search of the vehicle, investigators stated they discovered six bricks of cocaine in the “rear cargo area.” Davis apparently attempted to run but was apprehended and acknowledged possessing the cocaine.
Davis was previously found guilty of conspiracy to distribute five kilograms of cocaine.
