When authorities got on the site, they said they found the woman, who was not conscious or breathing. According to SLMPD, EMS was also alerted to the discovery and pronounced the woman dead on the site.

The facts surrounding the woman’s death have yet to be determined, since SLMPD states that “the cause of death was not immediately clear.”

The City of St. Louis Medical Examiner’s Office, which has control of the body, intends to conduct an autopsy as soon as possible while seeking to identify the remains.

The woman’s next of kin has yet to be contacted, but the inquiry into her death is ongoing, according to SLMPD. The District 6 detectives can be reached at 314-444-0001.
