Residents in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and suburban Maryland should prepare for the region’s first frost of the season, which is predicted early Friday morning, October 10, according to the National Weather Service. Following a period of warm weather and occasional rain, a crisp autumn cold snap is on the way.
