A Takoma Park man is facing Peeping Tom charges after allegedly disguising himself as a woman and secretly recording women in Montgomery County gym locker rooms.
According to police, 44-year-old Tshikundi Taty entered the women’s locker room at One Life Fitness in Germantown on October 10 after a woman reported being recorded while showering.

Detectives recognized Taty as the suspect, and they believe he disguised himself as a woman to get access to the female locker facilities. He allegedly removed his disguise and fled after recording women inside.
On October 29, investigators say they tracked Taty down to a Planet Fitness in White Oak, where he was discovered in the women’s locker area wearing a disguise. He was arrested and charged with several counts of peeping Tom and other felonies.
