The Indiana Department of Transportation is preparing for a winter storm and offering advice to anyone who may have to drive in winter conditions.
Some INDOT drivers will go out tonight to assess the situation and modify accordingly.
This forecast poses a challenge because if it rains before it snows, the brine solution will wash away.
“And then once drivers are out, they are out until the snowstorm has completed. And so they’re working 12-hour shifts until it’s done. And so we’ll probably have drivers out on the road until at least Monday, if not Tuesday,” said Cassandra Bajek, INDOT Northwest public relations director.
