Portland Police worked with the FBI to arrest five people and seize hundreds of grams of fentanyl, thousands of dollars, and a gun during an operation targeting drugs in the city.
The operation, carried out Wednesday, focused on fentanyl downtown and on the city’s east side.
They made five arrests during the day, seizing nearly 386 grams of fentanyl, $6,853 in cash, and one gun.
The names of individuals arrested are being withheld by police since the investigation is still ongoing.
The Portland Police Central Bike Squad collaborated with the FBI, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Interagency Task Force, and the bureau’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit.
“This mission demonstrated effective collaboration between local and federal partners, and the results reflect the collective effort put in by everyone involved,” Portland Police said. “Illegal drug activity threatens the health and safety of our neighborhoods, and PPB is committed to ongoing, proactive efforts to disrupt it.”
