Mississippi officials are searching for a man who is accused of using a credit card to embezzle over $30,000 from the company for which he was working.
The Jackson Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying Lucious Abney, 49, who is wanted in connection with a long-standing embezzlement scheme involving a company credit card.
Over a period of more than two years, Abney reportedly used a corporate credit card to make a series of unlawful personal expenditures.
Officials said the fraudulent conduct began in June 2022 and continued until January 2025. Abney allegedly spent over $30,000 on non-business items and services during this period.
After discovering the extent of the financial inconsistencies, JPD investigators made an official request for information on Abney’s location.
