Two men from Texas are facing charges for allegedly leaving a local hotel without paying for lodging and restaurant services, according to Pocono Township Police.
On December 16, police received a report of a theft of services at The Swiftwater Hotel on Route 611. Cortez D. Livingston and Tyson J. Livingston, both of Carrollton, Texas, stayed at the hotel from December 11 to December 12 and used hotel and dining services during their visit.
According to police, when the men checked out, they failed to make the required payment. Investigators claim that attempts to collect payment were ineffective, and the people refused to pay when reached.
Officers eventually spoke with both men and confirmed that they had stayed at the hotel and purposefully did not pay for the services they received, according to police.
According to authorities, Cortez D. Livingston has active arrest warrants in Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia. Charges for theft of services have been filed in Monroe County.
The incident took place at the Swiftwater Hotel, located at 2060 Route 611. The case is still being reviewed, and officials point out that all charges are allegations.
