The New York Police Department released surveillance images Thursday of a woman who reportedly stabbed another subway rider in the head on a Midtown train this week.
According to authorities, the stabbing occurred on Tuesday afternoon as a 4 train was heading downtown near the Lexington Avenue/59th Street station.
Around 1:50 p.m., the two women got into an argument on the train, but it’s unclear what they were fighting over.
EMS came to the station and brought the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where she was stable and receiving treatment for a stab wound to her skull.
The suspect, thought to be around 25 years old, escaped the train and is still at large, according to police.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
