2 Women Arrested in Maryland for Alleged Multi-Jurisdiction Ulta Beauty Theft Scheme

Two women have been arrested in connection with a significant theft scheme involving Ulta Beauty stores throughout Maryland, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.  Authorities confiscated more than $11,000 in merchandise in a series of recoveries linked to the alleged thefts. In an operation that spanned multiple jurisdictions, Dasjanae Teona Timmons, 23, of Jessup, and Dahmira Monya Laboo, 23, of Severn, were arrested on charges of theft in amounts ranging from $1,500 to $25,000 and organized retail theft—both classified as felonies.

According to CBS News Baltimore, the initial incident happened at the Ulta Beauty store at 6400 Ridge Road in Sykesville. Carroll County deputies responded to a theft call at 1:07 p.m. on December 12, 2025, and were told that the suspects had fled the area in a black Infinity. A later search warrant resulted in the recovery of stolen goods worth roughly $11,000 from the Sykesville location and other regional stores.

Shortly after the reported theft, an officer from the Sykesville Police Department noticed a car matching the suspect’s description driving south on Route 32 into Howard County while working on the case. According to Fox Baltimore, the officer provided the deputies with the vehicle’s Maryland temporary registration, which led to a location in Jessup where the vehicle was discovered.

The successful collaboration with the Howard County Police Department resulted in the arrest of the two offenders. Timmons was arrested on December 17, 2025, and Laboo was nabbed on January 7, facing further misdemeanor charges after being discovered with things suspected to be Suboxone, a prohibited dangerous narcotic. Both suspects are still being held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center while they await additional proceedings on the charges against them.
