The United States government has issued a “warning” after six hunters were tragically discovered dead during hunting season.
Hunting season begins in late October and lasts until early winter, at least for deer. Millions of Americans and people across the world participate in hunting season. It’s an important part of American history and culture.

Six hunters were discovered deceased as a result of accidental gunfire or other accidents while hunting in the woods:
- Douglas John “DJ” Olin Edmond Jr., 50, was found dead in South Carolina
- Garret Verdun, 45, was found dead in Louisiana
- A 26-year-old hunter was found dead in Wisconsin
- A 45-year-old hunter was found dead in Texas
- An Amish hunter was found dead in Pennsylvania
- A 27-year-old hunter was found dead in Crete
All of the deaths are thought to have been accidental, either from gunfire or deadly falls in the woods.
