Sarah Tavano was accused of drugging burglary victims she had met at Miami bars so many times that a detective remembered her, according to a police report.
Tavano, 39, of Massachusetts, was charged with 10 crimes in four incidents in Miami-Dade County on Tuesday, according to police and court documents.

Tavano, who lived in St. Augustine, gained the men’s trust “under the pretense of consensual activity,” a police officer stated in an arrest report.
Tavano was arrested on Sunday at Sugar, a 40th-floor rooftop bar at EAST at 788 Brickell Plaza, with a baggie full of white powder, a plastic cup full of four tablets, and a bottle of Jägermeister laced with powder, according to a police arrest report.
Tavano “stated that the liquid inside the green bottle contained MDMA,” a detective noted in an arrest report.
Prosecutors filed four cases against Tavano on Monday, according to court records. According to police incident records, three of the pieces of evidence are surveillance video, a fingerprint match, and a confession.
Oct. 26 In Brickell
On Oct. 26, police officers contacted a man at Latitude on the River, at 185 SW 7 St., who stated that he met a woman on Oct. 25 at Blackbird, at 729 SW 1 Ave., who may have taken his keys, according to the police report.
“He does not remember inviting her into his apartment,” a police officer stated in an arrest report.
The man said that when he awoke, gold and diamond jewelry, suitcases, handbags, and wallets had vanished from his condo on the 36th floor, according to a police officer, who stated that the items were valued at “over $50,000 belonging to the victim’s fiancé.”
A fingerprint on a brown watch case matched Tavano, who confessed that “the clothes she changed into were stolen… she stole the suitcases… filled with 20+ luxury bags,” a police officer wrote, according to an incident report. The designer items included Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Versace, Gucci, and Yves Saint Laurent.
Dec. 11 In Wynwood And Brickell
On December 11, Miami police officers contacted a man at the Hyatt Centric Resort Hotel at 1102 Brickell Bay Drive who claimed to have met a woman on December 10 at El Patio Wynwood, located at 167 NW 23rd Street.
According to a police investigation, the individual alleged that more than $34,000 was stolen through unlawful bank and cryptocurrency transactions after his iPhone 17 and wallet went missing.
“The victim reported experiencing a severe blackout, falling unconscious,” a police officer wrote in a case report.
Dec. 13 In Downtown Miami And Brickell
Police detectives contacted a guy at the Intercontinental Hotel, located at 100 Chopin Plaza, who said that a lady approached him at Sugar on December 12 and invited him into his hotel room on December 13, according to records.
“He consumed a drink… began to feel ill, experiencing sudden nausea, weakness, and dizziness, before losing consciousness,” a police officer noted in an arrest report. “The victim reported blacking out.”
According to authorities, the man said that when he awoke, the woman had taken his Rolex watch, worth around $38,000, and $1,500 in cash.
The man, who later accused the lady of drugging him, “described prolonged symptoms of nausea, extreme weakness, dizziness, and vomiting that persisted for approximately one week,” according to an arrest report by a Miami police officer.
After watching a security video, the detective noted, “I immediately recognized [Tavano], whom I suspected from two prior investigations,” according to records.
The 10 Charges
Tavano faced two accusations in the October 26 case: burglary of an occupied house and second-degree grand theft. Her bond totaled $12,500.
Tavano faced two allegations in the December 11 case: organized fraud and third-degree grand theft. Her bond totaled $12,500.
Tavano faced three accusations in the December 13 case: strong-armed robbery, organized fraud, and second-degree grand theft. Her bond was $25,000.
Tavano faced three accusations in the January 18 case: food or drink poisoning, cocaine possession, and possession of a prohibited substance. Her bond totaled $5,000.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Michelle Delancy will preside over the four trials. Her entire bond amount was $55,000.
According to records, the court required her to verify that the cash used for her bond was not the result of illicit activity.
