According to court records, Bradshaw was sentenced to two counts of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence. Under Ohio law, each felonious assault conviction results in an indefinite prison sentence ranging from four to six years. Judge Olender ordered that the two assault sentences be served consecutively, meaning one after the other.

Bradshaw also got a 30-month prison sentence for tampering with evidence. That sentence will run concurrently with the felonious assault conviction.

Bradshaw risks a prison sentence of eight to twelve years. According to court documents, he has already served 305 days in jail. He was remanded to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, and his sentence begins on January 20.

Background of the case

According to WTOL 11, the allegations arise from an event in March 2025 in which detectives say a man was kidnapped and assaulted inside a room at a Red Roof Inn in Maumee.

Authorities claimed the man was held against his will and beaten for a lengthy period of time before being apprehended. The victim sustained injuries and was sent to a medical facility. Prosecutors said that the assault comprised numerous people working together, leading to accusations against six suspects.

Status of the other defendants

Martina Esqueda Jones, 28, is still charged and awaiting trial, with a pretrial hearing scheduled on January 29 before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Lori Olender. Jones is charged with kidnapping, multiple counts of felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.

The other defendants, Aaron Bradshaw, Michael Esqueda, David Cessna, and Chance Johnston, have all pled guilty or been sentenced in connection with the case.
