A man was taken into custody following a fatal shooting at a Central Florida RV resort.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested the suspect in the tragic shooting in Tampa.

On June 29, 2025, at 11:56 p.m., deputies responded to a gunshot at Happy Traveler’s RV Resort. The victim, 23-year-old Talando House, was brought to St. Joseph’s Hospital Main and pronounced dead at 2:27am.
Throughout the investigation, detectives identified 19-year-old Malik Rashad Cook as the shooter.
Detectives discovered and arrested Cook last month, with aid from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, and he is currently being held at the Pasco County Jail. He was arrested for second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Local law enforcement officials say the inquiry is still ongoing.
