The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Sunday that two men, ages 22 and 36, were put into Ramsey County Jail pending official charges.
The arrests came after deputies discovered a 17-year-old man inside a residence on the 5000 block of Birch Trail in Shoreview at 1:15 a.m. with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
According to the first investigation, the suspects forced their way into the house before shooting the victim and fleeing.
The suspects were later found on the 200 block of Dayton Avenue in St. Paul, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to the city of Shoreview, suspects are in custody following a house invasion and shooting on Sunday morning.
While the city did not disclose many details regarding the incident, it stated that there was no danger to the public at this moment.
“The city is aware of a shooting occurring in northern Shoreview earlier this morning,” the city said. “It was a result of a home invasion, not ICE. The suspects are in custody, and there is no risk to the public.”
