A Long Island resident won the top prize in the New York Lottery’s Cash4Life game by matching five numbers in the December 9 drawing.
Jason Champagne matched the numbers 12, 24, 36, 54, and 56 to win the $1,000 per day life prize, with a minimum payout of $7 million. Rather than receiving daily payments, the Bellmore resident elected to take a one-time lump sum payment of $4,557,000 after required withholdings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less in Newburgh.
The Cash4Life game generated $110,062,930 in total sales during fiscal year 2024-2025. During that same period, school districts in Nassau County received $250,170,564 in Lottery Aid to Education funds.
