A previously convicted felon from Pittsburgh has received a new term on federal drug trafficking charges.
The Department of Justice announced on Tuesday that Timothy Bazmore, 35, popularly known as “Slim,” was sentenced to ten years in prison for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

Officials claimed Bazmore was detained with 22 grams of crack cocaine and a loaded gun, both of which he was forbidden from possessing due to a past criminal conviction.
Judge W. Scott Hardy stated that he considered Bazmore’s “extensive criminal history” in his decision.
The arrest was the product of a collaboration between the Pittsburgh Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
