Six men were taken into custody in Stillwater after a targeted operation to prevent the sexual exploitation of minors, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
According to officials, between Jan. 28 and 30, undercover agents posed online as a 16-year-old girl, and multiple suspects allegedly arranged meetings to pay for sexual acts.
The men were arrested when they arrived at the locations, according to the sheriff’s office.
The six men charged are Vishwateja Reddy Guntupally, Christopher James Kohn, Manuel Mateo Chunzho-Canar, Sanyi Mechalu Tefera, Terry Valentino Reynolds, and Dakota Robert Ott.
“Protecting children and vulnerable populations remains a top priority, and collaborative operations such as this are a critical component in disrupting exploitation and ensuring public safety,” said Washington County Sheriff Dan Starry.
The operation was conducted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Stillwater Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Washington County Attorney’s Office during Human Trafficking Awareness Month in January.
Washington County authorities want anyone who witnesses suspected activities involving human trafficking to call 651-430-7825.
