An Indiana man stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina is now facing multiple felony child exploitation charges after police allegedly discovered child sex abuse material in his possession.
According to court documents, Aidan Borowicz, 22, is currently charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. According to FOX59/CBS4, Borowicz grew up in Hendricks County and attended Tri-West High School.
The inquiry into Borowicz began in November 2025, when the Manteo Police Department discovered that he was reportedly conversing with a 14-year-old girl. As the inquiry into Borowicz progressed, investigators discovered that he was an active soldier stationed in Fort Bragg.
Borowicz is also charged with solicitation of a minor by computer after police say he planned to meet what he thought was a female juvenile for a sexual encounter at a local hotel in January. According to court filings, the child was a decoy operated by an undercover officer from the Manteo Police Department.
On January 22, authorities conducted a search warrant at Borowicz’s home in the 1400 block of Yellow Ribbon Drive in Fayetteville, North Carolina. During the investigation, authorities discovered a photo gallery on Borowicz’s cell phone showing ten photos of young girls performing sex activities or displaying nudity.
The minors in the images ranged in age from 5 to 11, according to court records. Investigators stated that the photos were downloaded between January 13 and January 19. Investigators seized multiple electronic gadgets after investigating his home.
Borowicz is now being incarcerated in the Dare County Detention Center. The case is still being investigated, and detectives have stated that additional state and federal charges may be made in the near future.
