A fourth lawsuit has been filed against two men charged with the drug-related deaths of three men in Kansas City’s Northland.
Norma Chester sued Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson last week.
Chester is the mother of Ricky Johnson, one of the males discovered in a Kansas City North home in January 2024. She brought the action on behalf of Johnson’s three children.
According to the lawsuit, Johnson and several others were invited to the home to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game on January 7, 2024. It goes on to allege that Johnson died after using fentanyl and cocaine while at home.
Willis and Ivory are accused in the petition of providing the other guys with fentanyl and cocaine.
Police discovered the bodies of the three guys in the backyard two days later.
The lawsuit claims Wilson and Ivory were negligent in providing the illegal substances and then failing to tell the men that the cocaine was laced with fentanyl.
The men also failed to assist the three victims, who overdosed and died, according to the lawsuit.
It goes on to imply that Johnson could have recovered if he had phoned for aid in time.
The action seeks damages, including burial expenses, as well as a fair amount for the family’s loss of companionship, comfort, and support as a result of Johnson’s death.
Johnson’s father is suing Willis and Carson, as are the families of the other two men who died.
Willis and Carson are also charged with two charges of drug delivery and three counts of involuntary manslaughter. They all pleaded not guilty to the accusations.
