15 people arrested on suspicion of allegedly spreading ISIS propaganda on TikTok

Fifteen people were arrested in Europe on Tuesday for allegedly promoting propaganda for the Islamic State terrorist group over TikTok, a report said.

The suspects, aged 16 to 53, were arrested in raids across the Netherlands, according to Reuters.

According to Dutch authorities, the suspects were seized on suspicion of distributing ISIS propaganda on TikTok and attempting to persuade individuals to carry out terrorist attacks.

Prosecutors claim that a TikTok account sharing a significant amount of ISIS propaganda with Dutch subtitles sparked the arrests.

According to Reuters, thirteen of those arrested were Syrian, and four were Dutch, implying that some of the suspects were dual nationals.

The arrests come as the US military continues to be active in Syria, fighting ISIS.

Last Wednesday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed that it has conducted five attacks against “multiple” Islamic State targets recently as part of a cooperative military effort to “ensure the enduring defeat of the terrorist network.”

CENTCOM reported that between January 27 and February 2, its troops “located and destroyed an ISIS communication site, critical logistics node, and weapons storage facilities with 50 precision munitions delivered by fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and unmanned aircraft.”

“Striking these targets demonstrates our continued focus and resolve for preventing an ISIS resurgence in Syria,” Adm. Brad Cooper, the commander of CENTCOM, said in a statement.

CENTCOM claimed it launched Operation Hawkeye Strike in response to an ISIS “ambush” attack on US and Syrian soldiers in Palmyra, Syria, on December 13, 2025.

The attack killed two US service personnel and an American translator.
