An Iowa man was detained in Sedalia for having a banned driver’s status and a Pettis County warrant.
On July 29, at 11:01 a.m., a black Chevrolet Malibu was pulled over near 3100 W. Broadway Boulevard.
The driver was Donald R. Waltemeyer, 50, of Marshalltown, Iowa.
Waltemeyer was arrested on a driving ban from Iowa and a Pettis County warrant for 1st Degree Trespassing – Failure to Appear.
An inventory search was carried out in Waltemeyer’s vehicle.
According to the press release, there was a backpack containing one ounce of methamphetamine and fentanyl mixed with $15,000 in cash.
Waltemeyer was booked into Pettis County Jail and charged with second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
