On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at around 12:45 p.m., law enforcement officers with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas City Police Department, and the United States Marshals Service Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force detained a 41-year-old man in Pleasant Hill.
Deputies said Richard Holliday was arrested near State Route 291 and East 175th Street. Holliday was wanted on two outstanding Jackson County warrants, one for homicide and the other for burglary.
Following his arrest, Cass County deputies brought Holliday to the Jackson County Jail, where he is being kept until additional legal action.
