Police in Ashley are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying a missing teenager who has not been seen in over a week.
According to the Ashley Police Department, Jade Alvelo, 17, has been missing since she left her house in Ashley. Officers stated her disappearance has caused alarm because she has not returned or communicated with family members.

Jade is reported as standing 5 feet tall and weighing about 100 pounds. She has brown eyes, purple and blue hair, a nose ring, and a heart-shaped tattoo on the left hand. Police reported that she was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, black leggings, and black calf-high boots.
The Ashley Police Department in Luzerne County is urging anyone who has seen Jade or knows her whereabouts to contact them.
