Possibility Remains For Measurable Snow In New York And New Jersey On Sunday

Tri-State Area residents are bracing themselves for an extended period of unseasonably cold temperatures. Forecasters are also monitoring a storm off the East Coast that could potentially bring snow.

First Alert Weather Days are in effect until Saturday owing to dangerously frigid mornings. Morning wind chills will vary from -15 to 5 degrees in the area.

Forecasters Eye Coastal Storm That Could Bring More Snow To Pennsylvania

Temperatures will be 10 to 12 degrees below normal and likely to stay below freezing every day.

New York City, Nassau County, and the majority of New Jersey are under a Cold Weather Advisory until 10 a.m. Northwest, central, and coastal New Jersey will also be under an advisory tonight until 10 a.m. Thursday, with felt-like temperatures ranging from -10 to -5 degrees.

Is there another snowstorm coming?

The weather team is monitoring a storm that may deliver snow on Sunday. It could deliver snow south and east of New York City.

We don’t know the specific trail, timing, or amount of snow, if any. The forecast will continue to be refined as the weekend approaches.

Wednesday is still bitterly cold

There will be no relief in the afternoon, with feel-good temperatures ranging from 10 to 15 degrees.

New Yorkers might see occasional flurries at night, but they won’t want to go out. Feels-like temperatures will range from -15 to 0 degrees.

Thursday remains frigid, with temperatures hovering between 10 and 15 degrees.

Friday brings another round of profound chill, with wind chills ranging from 0 to 10 degrees throughout the day.

The cold did not let up during the weekend. Saturday remains bitterly cold, with wind chills ranging between 5 and 10 degrees.
