Two teenage boys were taken into custody late Wednesday night, roughly an hour after reportedly taking a woman’s vehicle at gunpoint on the city’s Northwest Side.
According to police, a 28-year-old woman was carjacked at gunpoint in the Irving Park neighborhood’s 3400 block of West Byron Street.

An hour later, at 11:30 p.m., officers detained a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old boy on West 72nd Street in Park Manor.
Both teenagers face one felony charge of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm.
Police did not provide any further information.
