FBI: Colerain Township Teen Missing Since Mid-february Located Safe

Madison Fields, a Colerain Township teenager who had been missing since mid-February, has been located safe, officials said.

The FBI Cincinnati, the Colerain Police Department, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation confirmed on Friday that Fields was found and rescued in Florida.

Fields was found after officials tracked down a person of interest in her disappearance who now lives in Tennessee. When the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team got at the person’s home, they discovered the suspect had fled before they arrived. They were, however, able to locate a Florida hotel where the individual was thought to be staying.

When the FBI Jacksonville and local police arrived to the hotel, they discovered Fields safe and arrested the suspect.

“We are all relieved that Madison has been safely located,” Colerain Police Chief Edwin C. Cordie III said in a release. “Colerain Police and our partners never gave up hope that she would be found. I am thankful for the hard work of our officers and detectives and the support of the community.”

Father asks for assistance in finding his missing teenage daughter.
It is unknown whether the suspect has any ties to the New York man previously indicted for his involvement with Fields. Police said they will provide further information about the suspect’s charges “in the near future.”
