According to 7 News Detroit, authorities discovered the body of Tyler Bojanowski, 25, who has been missing since early February, on the Ecorse waterfront.
The body, which matched his physical description and was dressed in matching attire, was discovered on Monday. According to sources, the Bojanowski family has been alerted.
Nicole Dillon last spoke with her son, Bojanowski, on Wednesday, February 4, about 11:30 p.m., when he informed her that he was going to a friend’s house. When he didn’t return home the next day, she became concerned. His phone was going directly to voicemail. “I knew there was something wrong,” Dillon told 7 News Detroit at the time.
According to Wyandotte police, Bojanowski went to two different pubs in the Wyandotte neighborhood on the night he disappeared.
Around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, officers observed his vehicle speeding and began searching for it. Officers discovered a smashed automobile near the Best Western on Enterprise Drive in Allen Park. However, he is not present. The vehicle has no occupants. In February, Wyandotte Police Department Chief Archie Hamilton stated that the airbags have been deployed and that his cellphone and wallet are inside the vehicle.
According to Hamilton, surveillance video shows Bojanowski walking away from the crash scene.
Someone discovered his passport nine hours after the crash in Ecorse’s Dingell Park. The park’s cameras were not operational at the time. Was it dropped by him or someone else before the crash? “Was it dropped by him after the crash?” Hamilton asked.
Bojanowski’s mother stated that despite suffering a brain injury from a previous vehicle accident, her son remains optimistic and focused on his recovery.He was on his road to full recovery and returning to work, which was his primary desire. “He was constantly talking about getting back to work,” Dillon added.
