Employee arrested after authorities raid Clairton gas station in search of drugs

The Fuel On gas station and convenience store are no longer open. The door is padlocked, the windows are boarded up, and police tape remains around the building.

Yesterday, police and attorney general’s office officials searched the firm.

“I witnessed it when the cops arrived; they surrounded the entire parking lot. They came out and went in. They rushed them. They did not have time to hide any evidence at all. “They were caught,” Derique Johnson told Channel 11.

Johnson, who resides in Clairton, told Channel 11 that the establishment is well-known for dealing drugs.

“My 16-year-old nephew walked in there and got some narcotics that he should not have. “And they handed them over to him,” Johnson stated.

According to authorities, they discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the store. Police did not indicate what type of drugs they discovered.

The raid followed a “extensive investigation” prompted by several community concerns about drug activities in and around the establishment.

When officers searched the store, they claim the employee on duty at the time was wanted for other counts and was arrested.

“In a broken town like this, it’s very common. This is entirely normal. Seeing that yellow caution tape no longer scares children. It doesn’t terrify anybody anymore,” he said.

Police said additional charges are pending in this case.
