A 19-year-old Florida man is in jail following a multi-agency operation on human trafficking in the Tallahassee region.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the United States Marshals Service North Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Craig Kristian Pringle on April 8 at his home in Quincy.
Pringle is facing many accusations, including one count of attempted human trafficking for commercial sexual conduct, using a computer to entice a kid, and illegally using a two-way communication device.
The arrest resulted from an undercover investigation known as “Operation Cupid’s Cleanup.” According to authorities, Pringle contacted an investigator who was acting as a youngster online. During their encounters, Pringle allegedly attempted to obtain nude images from the undercover agent.
This four-day operation brought together a powerful coalition of law enforcement agencies, including FDLE officers, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the Tallahassee Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
The task force’s principal purpose was to disrupt active human trafficking networks that operated throughout the region.
Pringle was arrested and taken to the Leon County Jail. The State Attorney’s Office for the Second Judicial Circuit has taken over the case and will prosecute it.
While Pringle is currently under arrest, officials stated that the investigation into “Operation Cupid’s Cleanup” is ongoing.
