A 65-year-old Sorrento man was killed Wednesday in Lake County when his motorbike collided with a pickup truck that turned into his path, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The tragic two-vehicle collision occurred around 6 p.m. on State Road 46 at 4th Street, near Sorrento.

According to the FHP, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado was going west on S.R. 46 when the driver made a left turn directly into the path of an eastbound 2001 Yamaha.
The FHP crash report states that the collision with the pickup truck resulted in the biker’s death at the scene.
The pickup driver, a 49-year-old Apopka man, was unhurt and remained at the site, according to the FHP.
An investigation is ongoing.
