Two suspects, including a minor, have been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the May shooting of a 15-year-old boy in the Western District.
The incident occurred on May 19 at around 6:05 p.m. in the 700 block of North Gilmor Street, following shot-spotter alerts that attracted police to the scene. Officers discovered the juvenile victim with a grazing wound on the hip. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
A 16-year-old male suspect was apprehended on June 10. One month later, on July 10, Rashod Raymond-Johnson, 18, was arrested as well. Both were charged with attempted first-degree murder and put into the Central Booking Intake Facility.
