According to Miami Police, on July 31, detectives and SWAT teams executed a search warrant at a home on Northwest 48th Street and 15th Court.

The arrest report states that police officers established a perimeter around the home and verbally demanded the individuals inside to leave. When nobody responded, crews entered the house.

According to the report, Demps attempted to flee the scene by exiting the property through a rear door previously utilized for narcotics operations.

According to the report, a nearby SWAT officer apprehended him.

After Demps’ arrest, the report states that one of the youths left the home using the same door Demps had used, and police detained him.

The report states that when police searched the home and found the other juvenile inside, they also arrested him.

The report stated that during their investigation, detectives discovered transparent plastic baggies on a table containing alleged drugs. Drug paraphernalia was found throughout the house, including on the living room floor, in the kitchen, and in the laundry room.

When police arrived to interrogate the four suspects, Brunson was the only one to waive her rights and admit to authorities that she was aware of drug sales taking place at the home, but she denied being part of the criminal activities, according to the report.

The following things were discovered during the bust:

  • $364 in cash
  • 198.4 grams of suspected marijuana
  • 123.6 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • 2.3 grams of suspected pink cocaine
  • 58.7 grams of suspected powder cocaine
  • 47.2 grams of suspected fentanyl
