When the storm hit its peak, Arizona Public Service (APS) reported that up to 12,000 customers were without power. The most widespread disruptions occurred in Buckeye and central Phoenix. As of 9:15 p.m., 3,800 customers were experiencing outages.

Driving conditions during the late night hours may be risky. When visibility is extremely low, pull over and turn on your hazard lights.

The National Weather Service of Phoenix issued dust storm and severe thunderstorm warnings in Maricopa and Pinal counties as a haboob moved into the Valley and dangerously violent storms approached the greater Phoenix area.
