Ridgeline high school had a huge change in the dress code this year. Previously, hats or any type of headwear were not allowed at school. But this year that changed. Hats are now allowed after the new principal said he didn’t care if students wore hats in school.
Students are very thrilled about the new dress code rule with some even saying it makes coming to school easier. Teegan Feinauer, a senior at Ridgeline, said ”not having to worry about a bad hair day because I can just throw on a hat makes coming to school a lot less stressful.” He said hats are also another staple of style choices today making students “be able to express themselves even more.”
Hats in school are a big change, some old timers would even say they didn’t even dare wearing a hat to school because it was seen as disrespectful, or it was a security concern. So what do the teachers that couldn’t wear hats when they were in school think about this new change. Dave Christopherson, “Mr. C” the ceramics teacher at RHS likes the idea of hats. Saying “i’m down with hats in school.” “Mr. C even said how he has always wanted to wear hats, especially his “rad beanies in the winter.” And Mr. C is not the only teacher that likes the new rule. With most teachers agreeing it is a fun new change.
