7 People Arrested After Drug Bust In Pennsylvania

State Attorney General Dave Sunday announced on Tuesday the arrest of seven people allegedly involved in a drug trafficking organization operating in Carbon and Schuylkill counties.

Cruz “June” Investigators identified Rodriguez as the primary supplier of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and ecstasy, allegedly sourced from Pennsylvania and New York.

Rodriguez is thought to have supplied drugs to local traffickers, who were allegedly threatened with weapons.

According to authorities, Rodriguez is affiliated with the Allentown-based Second Street gang. Christopher Hazlett, Justin Heacock, Jose Nieves-Feliciano, and Kayla Evert have all been charged. Evert allegedly served as a runner for some of the larger traffickers.

A search of Rodriguez’s Coaldale house and vehicle yielded a stolen 9mm handgun, marijuana, cocaine, 281 MDMA pills, 2 pounds of methamphetamine, and 8 ounces of fentanyl.

Attorney General Sunday stated that the amount of fentanyl seized might comprise more than 112,000 potentially fatal doses.

Authorities underlined the combined effort of numerous authorities to combat organized crime. Carbon County District Attorney Michael Greek said, “This type of arrest by someone who is not from this area should send a message to everyone from Allentown to Reading to Philadelphia.” Do not come to Carbon County to deal narcotics.

The investigation is underway.
