Police are investigating after a woman was discovered dead inside a plastic bag in East Harlem on Monday.
MTA Police alerted the NYPD after the woman was discovered on the sidewalk near East 124th Street and Park Avenue just after 6:30 p.m.

EMS arrived and pronounced the unidentified woman deceased on the site.
The victim appeared to be in her twenties.
The woman was naked and had blood on her head, but the Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of her death.
